Singapore, July 17, 2025 - Nearly 100 Vietnamese tech entrepreneurs, including members of GITS Group, joined the AI Innovation Day at Google Singapore to exchange insights and strengthen cooperation in artificial intelligence between Vietnam and Singapore.

Co-hosted by the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, Google Singapore and GITS Group, the event highlighted Vietnam’s strong digital momentum. According to Trade Counselor Cao Xuan Thang, Vietnam’s ICT industry reached USD 170 billion in 2024, with over 80% of enterprises applying AI. The country now operates 33 data centers, aims to expand submarine cables and is preparing new laws on digital technology and data protection to attract global investors.

Experts from Boston Consulting Group, Google and other partners emphasized Vietnam’s potential as a regional AI hub, supported by its young talent pool, growing infrastructure and competitive costs. Still, they noted the need for more AI unicorns and stronger global expansion.

Panelists discussed AI applications across industries - from manufacturing and R&D efficiency to healthcare, law, robotics and enterprise automation. They agreed AI has become the “new internet,” transforming how companies compete and scale.

Vietnam and Singapore recently upgraded their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening new opportunities for bilateral collaboration in AI research, investment and talent development.
